17/03/2010 MAINTENANCE QUALIFICATIONS ADDED: Learning Systems Australia Pty Ltd is pleased to announce we have added Certificate IV in ESI Generation Maintenance (Mechanical) UEP40306 and Certificate IV in ESI Generation Maintenance (Electrical/Electronic) UEP40506. This allows LSA a more holistic approach to training requirements within the Power Generation industry.

09/03/2009 TRU ENERGY TALLAWARRA POWER STATION: Learning Systems Australia Pty Ltd is pleased to announce we have been granted a contract to develop all learning materials for the 400MW TRU Tallawarra Combined Cycle Power Station south of Wollongong, NSW. This is a fully blended learning package that will enable each new operator to gain a Certificate IV in ESI Generation (Operations) at the end of their traineeship period. Wayne Smith, CEO of LSA has stated "this is another very interesting partnership for our team. We are working closely with TRU senior staff to develop and deliver this package in an RTO Partnership arrangement. It combines self paced learning, in class training and one on one mentoring as the trainee works the way through the Certificate IV in a very site specific manner, while still meeting all the requirements of the AQTF".

10/12/2008 CONFINED SPACES: Learning Systems Australia Pty Ltd is pleased to announce an extension of scope of our Registered Training Organisation status to include the National Unit of Competency NWP219A Safe Work in a Confined Space. This has been a collaboration between LSA and IM Learning of Moranbah, Central Queensland. 15/12/2007 QUEENSLAND ALUMINA LTD: Learning Systems Australia Pty Ltd has today signed a contract to supply power station operations technical training, assessing and development services to the QAL Gladstone Alumina Smelter. In a similar way to Gladstone Power Station, QAL are meeting the challenges of the skills shortage with the LSA "Blended Solution" training package. This will ensure licensed and qualified power station operators for years to come including Certificate III in ESI Generation (Operations).

10/11/2007 ERGON ENERGY CORPORATION LTD: Learning Systems Australia Pty Ltd has now supplied Ergon Energy Corporation with a range of services including training needs analysis, plant operations manuals and assessment tool development for staff across a range of the corporation's business units. 15/10/2007 REGISTERED TRAINING ORGANISATION STATUS: Learning Systems Australia Pty Ltd has now extended our Registered Training Organisation ( RTO No 31406) status. Our status now covers qualifications within the Electrical Supply Industry Generation training package (UEP06) up to Diploma level and units of competency within the Queensland course 30498QLD for Operating Pressure Equipment including boilers, turbines and reciprocating steam equipment. We were the first RTO in Australia registered for Operating Pressure Equipment under the new legislative requirements and still the only RTO registered for Reciprocating Steam equipment in QLD. 04/07/2007 NRG GLADSTONE OPERATIONS: Learning Systems Australia Pty Ltd has today signed a two year contract to supply Operations Technical Training, assessment and development services to the 1650MW coal fired Gladstone Power Station in Gladstone, Queensland. Wayne Smith, CEO of Learning Systems Australia, stated "this is an exciting partnership. NRG are meeting the challenges of the skills shortage by using our unique blended solution to take trainees from scratch right through to fully licensed and qualified power station operators (including Certificate IV in ESI Generation (Operations)). 15/12/2006 STANWELL CORPORATION LTD: Learning Systems Australia Pty Ltd has today signed a five year contract to supply Operations Technical Training, assessment and development services to the 1440MW coal fired Stanwell Power Station, near Rockhampton, Queensland. Wayne Smith, CEO of Learning Systems Australia, stated "this again shows the pay off of the close working relationship our company has with the Queensland power generation industry". We are now 2 years into a major contract with Tarong Energy Ltd (another Queensland Government generator). 21/10/2006 COAL MINING SERVICES: Learning Systems Australia Pty Ltd have recently supplied BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance with a range of Confined Spaces safety services including auditing of coal preparation plants, access permit documentation development, JSA's and other consulting services in ensuring the requirements of AS/NZS2865 are met and exceeded by the 14.5M Tonne per year Goonyella / Riverside Mine. We are currently negotiating supply of full Safe Work Permit systems with a number of coal mines in the Bowen Basin to ensure their compliance with QLD Coal Mining and Workplace Health & Safety Acts are met and exceeded.
